Biomechanics Postural Correction

Picture

What is Biomechanics Postural Correction?

Biomechanics is the study of the mechanics of a living body, especially of the forces exerted by muscles and gravity on the skeletal structure. Our muscle balance is influenced by gravity and a variety of internal and external forces that influence line of pull of the muscles.

Abnormal forces can result in abnormal postures or loading. Also, abnormal postures that are sustained, result in muscle imbalances. e.g. sitting slumped; or standing with one's weight on one leg, when carrying a heavy bag or a child.

Muscle imbalances need to be corrected to reduce pain and improve function and performance. All individuals should have the benefit of functioning optimally & painfree.
